The history of Canada's leading metal recyling company
Triple M Metal was established over 35 years ago by Mike Giampaolo who continues to serve as Chairman and is the principal shareholder of the Triple M Metal LP.

From very modest beginnings, Triple M Metal has grown to be Canada's leading metal recycling company with operations in Canada, the United States, Mexico, and England. The company also ships significant volumes of product to the Far East and Asia. Over the years Triple M Metal has diversified through acquisitions and vertical integration and its businesses now include: a significant real estate development company for industrial, residential, and golf course properties (Giampaolo Investments); aluminum remelt plants (MATALCO); a construction company specializing in industrial and commercial projects (Versa Construction); a steel service center (Venture Steel); and an electronics processing and recycling company (G.E.E.P.).

October 2006 (National Post): Mike Giampaolo started Triple M Metal 35 years ago with one truck, a strong work ethic and a sense of team spirit.
It is said that one man's waste is another person's treasure. Nowhere is this more true than in the recycling business, the core activity of Triple M Metal, one of North America's largest processors of ferrous and non-ferrous metals.
 
MATALCO MATALCO INC.
MATALCO operates two aluminum remelt plants in Brampton, Ontario and Canton, Ohio, with a combined annual capacity to produce 320 million lbs of prime quality billet for sale to the extrusion industry. The infeed material consists of scrap aluminum from Triple M Metal and press scrap on a tolling arrangement with extrusion customers. Employing the latest technology with significantly reduced melt loss gives MATALCO a competitive advantage in its market.
